Literacy - Relating to Others

As part of getting to know each other in Week 1 - We had to work out questions to ask each other to gain more information about each other.  Once we had decided on our questions we had to go around the class and ask a different person each question, if they answered yes they had to write their name.  The first person to have all questions completed was the WINNER!!!  We could not cheat as Miss Morris asked the person we asked.

Topic - The Moon

This term we are learning about Space. This week we learnt all about the moon. We learnt that the moon is made of rock and it has lots of craters. If you visited the moon there would be no trees and no water. We looked at the different phases of the moon. We made 3 moon shapes with play dough. We enjoyed painting our moon shapes as well.

Ronald Mcdonald

This week Ronald Mcdonald visited the Junior School.  He showed us how to cross the road safely and how to keep safe on the foot path, and how to wear our safety belt in the car.
We learnt this simple song too:

Stop, look and listen before you use your feet,
Stop, look and listen before you cross the street,
Use your ears and use your eyes,
before you cross the street.
